If your idea of ??discovering Aveiro is to travel in one of those picturesque boats through the canals. What the hell! do it. There may be nothing romantic about going through the urban canals with a horde of foreigners or spending an hour and a bit with your neighbors from the fifth (Spanish here, many) and that the fact that the boats are motorized takes away that don't-be -what-do-I-know, but it is undoubtedly one of the most classic essentials and even I have done it. Of course, if you want to be a pro, choose your boat by the most curious "ordinariness" you see (one of the characteristics of the moliçeiros, in addition to the curved tip, is that they are decorated with "green" scenes and puns more or less obvious.) Or change the typical moliçeiro for a merchant, also a classic barge but that, instead of seaweed, used to transport salt.
