This is one of our families favorite Halloween events in the area. Wild Waves is the region's only amusement park that operates May through September, however, during the month of October they reopen for their annual Fright Fest event. The price was about $20 a person last year.
The park is decorated for Halloween, including a huge black widow spider hanging from one of the Wild Thing (rollercoaster). Hypnotists and fortune tellers put on shows and all of the non-water rides are open. The rides range from kiddie rides to looping steel coasters, so there's something for everyone. In the water park area, a building is turned into a haunted house and scary creatures roam around as you wait in line to go inside. It's very well done.
Hot cocoa, coffee, cider and snacks are available at the various food stalls.
Wild Waves Theme Park also opens in December for Holiday With Lights, an event that has over one million lights, plus Santa and rides.
