"The building dates from 1921 and was built as the headquarters of the Nutsspaarbank, which was founded in 1818. The data can be read above the roof, between the two chimneys. The bank used the building until 1992, the year it was sold to VSB Bank.
The former bank office was built around a central square, which has been covered with a glass roof during the latest renovation. Since the renovation in 2006, the building has been called the Nutshuis."
