Bertil Vallien's "Fredsmonument" - Kosta, Kronobergs Län, Sweden - Doves of peace on Waymarking.com

Between the buildings of "Kosta Glasbruk" and "Kosta Glascenter" in Kosta there is a permanent exhibition of some glass artists in the yard. There is also a glass column with the name "Fredsmonument" (Peace Monument) by the artist Bertil Vallien.

The slightly crooked column is about 1.5m high and about 10cm wide and deep. The glass has a blue gradient typical of the artist, from a dark hue at the top to an almost transparent hue at the bottom. In the lower third of the column, two two-dimensional doves of peace with an olive branch were cast.
