Als je de autoroute rijdt, kun je op elke willekeurige plek van de route starten. Op de kaart zie je hoe de route loopt. Vervolgens volg je de bordjes.

Om je kennis te laten maken met dit mooie product en unieke stukje Nederland, wordt er sinds 2000 het Tulpenfestival georganiseerd.
De basis van het Tulpenfestival zijn de (gratis) auto- en fietsroute. Door de bewegwijzerde route te volgen kom je langs de vele tulpenvelden die de Noordoostpolder rijk is. Een leuke aanvulling is de Tulpenfestival app die je tijdens het rijden van de route d.m.v video- en audiofragmenten informatie geeft over het gebied, de tulpenteelt en de historie van de Noordoostpolder. Daarnaast zijn er tijdens het drie weken durende evenementen diverse activiteiten voor jong en oud.
