The bell was donated to St. Mary's in 1987 when the old Advent Church in Penfield was purchased and turned into office space. The bell of cast iron weighs 750 pounds. Three parishioners, Eustace Deisenroth, Joe Bader and Steve Wenthe collaborated in designing, planning and building the wishing-well like bell tower. It sits on the northeast corner of the church grounds.
