"As a result of the judicial system established in Law 62/2013, of 26 August , as of 01.09.2014, the national territory is divided into 23 comarcas [Azores, Aveiro, Beja, Braga, Bragança, Castelo Branco, Coimbra, Évora , Faro, Guarda, Leiria, Lisbon, North Lisbon, West Lisbon, Madeira, Portalegre, Porto, East Port, Santarém, Setúbal, Viana do Castelo, Vila Real and Viseu], with its headquarters, area of ??territorial jurisdiction — by coinciding rule with that of the administrative districts — and its composition provided for in Decree-Law 49/2014, of 27 March .
In each of these constituencies there is a judicial court of first instance — the district court —, which is divided into trials [that integrate sections of specialized jurisdiction (the following can be created: civil central; civil local; criminal central, criminal local , petty crime; criminal investigation; family and minors; labour, commercial and execution), of general jurisdiction and proximity articles 33 and 81, Law 62/2013, of August 26."
