"Het Bussemakerhuis is een rijksmonument aan de Ennekerdijk 11 in het Twentse Borne in de Nederlandse provincie Overijssel.
Het Bussemakerhuis stamt uit 1655, toen het werd gebouwd als woning en handelshuis. De fabrikeur Jan Bussemaker verbouwde het in 1779 samen met zijn echtgenote Trijntje Hulshoff in zijn huidige vorm. Van hieruit bedreef de doopsgezinde Bussemaker zijn handel; hij voorzag de Twentse thuiswevers van garen en kocht hun linnen op om het in Holland door te verkopen. Samen met de textielfabrikant Salomon Jacob Spanjaard voorzagen zij de arme Bornse bevolking van werk en dus inkomen.
Nadat de laatste Bussemakers het huis hadden verlaten is het pand een langere periode verhuurd aan particulieren. In 1956 is de stichting Bussemakerhuis opgericht en werd eigenaar van het pand evenals van de klopjeshuizen in Borne. Het huis, met een klokgevel met zandstenen aanzetstukken is het enige bewaard gebleven fabrikeurshuis in Overijssel en grotendeels in de oorspronkelijke staat. Vanaf begin jaren '90 is het Bussemakerhuis als museum opengesteld voor publiek."

The Bussemakerhuis is a national monument at 11 Ennekerdijk in Borne in Twente in the Dutch province of Overijssel.
The Bussemakerhuis dates from 1655, when it was built as a residence and trading house. The manufacturer Jan Bussemaker renovated it in 1779 together with his wife Trijntje Hulshoff in its current form. From here the Mennonite Bussemaker conducted his trade; he supplied the Twente home weavers with yarn and bought their linen to resell it in Holland. Together with the textile manufacturer Salomon Jacob Spanjaard, they provided the poor Bornse population with work and therefore income.
After the last Bussemakers had left the house, the property was rented out to private individuals for a longer period. The Bussemakerhuis foundation was established in 1956 and became the owner of the building as well as of the knock houses in Borne. The house, with a bell gable with sandstone attachments, is the only preserved factory house in Overijssel and largely in its original state. The Bussemakerhuis has been open to the public as a museum since the early 1990s."
