The trailhead to the base of Iguaçu Falls begins near the Belmond Hotel. The wide, paved trail hugs the side of the river valley and offers a splendid view of the falls - and eventually takes you out over the river and to the base of the falls themselves! Go that far and you will get wet. Although the trail is wide and paved, there are many steps so the trail is not wheelchair accessible.
