State Museum of Natural History, also known as Morrill Hall, was founded in 1871 and is located at 645 N 14th St, Lincoln, NE 68588 on the campus of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln near the large football stadium. The museum is home to the world's largest articulated fossil Columbian mammoth alongside several elephant exhibits. There is also dinosaur fossils and displays as this area was once an ocean even though it is now the Central Plains of the United States. There are interactive exhibits to entertain all ages.

The museum's mission statement lists these core values:
