Air France 447 was not just a tragedy, but a preventable one; pilot error caused the aircraft to crash into the sea, with the loss of all 228 on board. This memorial, set in 2009 by Air France, names all of the victims. There are actually two similar memorials here, one up top and one below. Both are clear plexiglass monuments bearing names.
