"De Fabeltjeskrant was a daily recurring short broadcast just before children's bedtime on Dutch television about the daily events in the Grote Dierenbos in Fabeltjesland. The news was read by Mr. de Uil. The series was also broadcast in Flanders.
In 2005, the program was voted the best children's program of the 20th century in the Netherlands, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Dutch children's television."
