These life size greyhound dogs are outside Stockton's children's library.

The dogs used to be a popular sculpture on the High Street, the main shopping street of Stockton.
However they were removed when major regeneration works were carried out on the High Street. When the works were completed Stockton Council decided to ask local residents where they wanted the dogs to be now sited.
The majority of people wanted them to be in a prominent position in the town centre. This position outside the children's library was then chosen.
The painted enamel coating was restored before they were repositioned.
