Large and very popular camping site on Turku area. Ruissalo Camping is on end of lovely national park island Ruissalo on place called Saaronniemi. It's not open during winter months. Camping is open during 1.6.–31.8.
They do have hot water showers, laundry, toilets, cooking facilities, small grocery store. There is also mini-golf, volleyball, badminton and basketball courts, fitness trail, playgrounds and a cafe-restaurant, not to forget really good beach with finnish sauna. Area has space for 300 tents, 75 campers and there is 16 rooms available to rent.
Prices are Camper/tent place/night 19 € (for Camping Key Europe Card -holders 17 €) plus Person/night 6 €/adult, child (u.16yrs) 2 €. Electricity hook-up is 6 euros per day.
Ruissalo Camping is easy to reach. By the car you drive thru nice national park scenery or take bus number 8. Area around Ruissalo Camping is most popolar hiking ground for people of Turku. All around the year people are going there. The Beach also attracts tourists and locals. Every summer RuisRock nearby fills this island with youths, so on those days it is difficult to reach camping site. The waymark takes you into front of entrance of Camping site building.
I have never slept any nights on here, but gone for swimming several times. There is nice cafe too. Lots of people come to take photos of sea birds around island. Highly recommended for hiking!
