The highest point at 189.65m above sea level is in the north-west of the province of Blekinge Län on Rävabacken near the village of Farabol in the municipality of Olofström. From 1837 until the province was re-measured in 2006, Boafalls Backe was the highest point at 177.56m. At the new highest point, a small metal plaque with the data (BLEKINGES HÖGSTA PUNKT / 189,65 M.Ö.H. INVIGD 2006 / RÄVABACKEN) was attached to a granite rock, and an explanatory sign was set up nearby.
A gravel road of about 400m length leads from riksväg 119 up to a radio mast, there you may leave your car. The last 100 meters to the highest point can only be done on foot. Our GPS measured 195m which results in a difference of nearly 6m in height.
