"The village of Dicomano was liberated from the Nazi-fascist occupation on 10 September 1944. On 7 July 1944, in the hamlet of S. Detole, German soldiers found the farmer Albino Cecchini in possession of a crate of ammunition from the German army . For this reason, he was killed along with 3 people who were accidentally arrested in Shire. The next day, in the locality of Capraia-Celle, the whole Cecchini family was exterminated, including their son Antonio, just 2 months old, in all 8 victims. In addition, the Nazi-Fascist armies assassinated the very young partisans Armando Cecchini, Ettore Pinzani, Foresto Pasquini, Aimo Frittelli, Ciro Fabbroni and Arturo Fabbri."
