Våxtorp's church is surrounded by a cemetery that has been expanded in three stages. There is also a mortuary located in the west of the cemetery.
The cemetery is divided into three sections, with the oldest called the first, a younger one in the west called the second, and the youngest in the south called the third. The mortuary from 1958-62 is adjacent to the youngest cemetery. A memorial grove from 1989 has been arranged in the oldest cemetery and north of the church.
The size of the cemetery is 2,15 hectares and there are is approx 2600 graves in the cemetery.

The church was built in the 13th century and has medieval stair gables with origins in the southern Scandinavian building tradition.
