From the historical marker placed by the Lincoln Haymarket Development Corporation in 2003:

The Ridnour Building was one of the last factory warehouses built during the Haymarket District's principal period of development. J.C. Ridnour used the building to manufacture work clothes and overalls and as a wholesale warehouse for furnishing goods and notions.
Built in 1925, the original cost of the reinforced concrete structure was about $80,000. It was designed by architects Meginnis and Schaumberg, previous partners of prominent Haymarket archetect F.C. Fiske.
Although the building follows the common Haymarket District pattern of an ornamental facade and plain sides, it features unique art deco designs, such as the relief-carved panels between the stories at either end of the north facade and carved capitals topping the piers.

The space has been converted to the The Ridnour Room is an elegant yet spacious 7,000 square foot reception facility located in the heart of Lincoln’s Historic Haymarket District at 8th and P Streets. The Ridnour Room is located on the first floor of the Ridnour Plaza Building with a formal grand entrance inside the beautiful Apothecary Lobby at 140 N. 8th Street. The Ridnour Room is known as one of Lincoln’s premier reception facilities combining the charm and character of Lincoln’s Historic Haymarket with elegance and comfort for a variety of occasions.
