NL Op een zoektocht naar waymarks door Rhenen zag ik een prachtige ‘eerste steen’ in dit pand. Dit is de Pantarijn-school, waarvan ik helaas geen verdere geschiedenis heb kunnen vinden. Het pand is in ieder geval geopend op 12 juli 1950 door de toenmalige schooldirecteur Zr (zuster) C.A. van Lonkhuyzen en, heel bijzonder, door de jongste leerlinge Tonia van Dijk. Over deze personen heb ik helaas weinig kunnen vinden, wel dat mevrouw van Lonkhuyzen werkzaam was als wijkzuster en verantwoordelijk was voor de jeugdzorg.

De ‘eerste steen’ bevindt zich in het midden van de gevel van de school aan de Nieuwe Veenendaalseweg. Bovenin het puntdak is ook een daterings-steen zichtbaar; ‘1950’.

Op Pantarijn Rhenen zitten 257 leerlingen. We zijn een kleinschalige school, dus we kennen onze leerlingen goed. Zo kunnen we jouw persoonlijke talent helemaal tot zijn recht laten komen en je helpen je optimaal voor te bereiden op de toekomst.

ENG While searching for waymarks through Rhenen, I saw a beautiful 'first stone' in this building. This is the Pantarijn school, of which I have unfortunately not been able to find any further history. The building was in any case opened on July 12, 1950 by the then school director Zr (sister) C.A. van Lonkhuyzen and, very special, by the youngest student Tonia van Dijk. Unfortunately I have been unable to find much about these people, but that Mrs. van Lonkhuyzen worked as a district nurse and was responsible for youth care.

The 'first stone' is located in the middle of the facade of the school on Nieuwe Veenendaalseweg. A dating stone is also visible at the top of the pointed roof; '1950'.
