A Little Free Library made of bright blue composite lumber stands at the south side of the Graziano Square pocket park in Lisbon, Maine. Mounted atop a black, square, composite post in a small wooden planter along with flowers and an American flag, the community book sharing box is dog-friendly, too: a leash hook on the post and a jar of treats on the lower interior shelf.

Among its well-stocked interior, the steward included a Guest Book for visitors to sign. (I added a short note of gratitude.) Reading materials are divided on the two shelves in the standard way: books for adults above and kids below. It was fully stocked on the day of my visit. A dedication plaque along the bottom edge of the door reads:

live on forever in the
lives of those you loved
