This plum, originally located in Shinjuku, is called "Umeyashiki Ginsekai", means "World of Silver", in the Edo period (1603-1868).

The word "World of Silver" is named by the local people because it looks like Silver Mansion when the white plums are in full bloom.

It was transplanted to Shiba Park at the end of the Meiji period (1868-1912).
