The Minbar (a type of pulpit) is one of the earliest architectural features identified in Islamic architecture. Itincludes 11 steps and features floral and shell designs made of carved American cedarwood inlaid with mother of pearl, white gold, and glass mosaic. It has a small dome-shaped 'roof" and crescent final at the top of the stairs.

Visiting Times

Normal visiting hours are from Saturday to Thursday 09:00 am to 10:00 pm (Last admission at 09:30 pm)

On Friday Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is open from 09:00am to 12:00pm (Last admission at 11:30 am) and reopens from 3:00 pm. to 10:00 pm (Last admission at 09:30 pm)
