DE: Im Vorgarten des Hauses Grubenstraße 56 im Brühler Ortsteil Heide befindet sich ein Lebensmittelschrank, der von den engagierten Bewohnern gepflegt wird. Lebensmittel abholen darf jeder Bedürftige. Verzehrfähige Lebensmittel, die zudem nicht gekühlt werden müssen, können auch von anderen Mitbürgern eingestellt werden. Als wir den zweiteiligen Holzschrank besuchten, waren noch frische Brötchen sowie Salat, Gemüse (Zucchini, Brokkoli, Paprika, Tomaten, Frühlingszwiebeln) und Obst (Kirschen, Birnen, Pfirsiche) im Angebot.
Die Körbe, in denen sich die Lebensmittel befinden sind mit der Bezeichnung "Fair-Teiler Brühl" versehen, auf einer Tafel an der Vordertür des Schrankes befindet sich die allgemeinen Verhaltensregeln sowie ein Hinweis auf "foodsharing.de". Die Idee von foodsharing.de ist, dass noch verzehrfähige Lebensmittel vor der Mülltonne gerettet werden und so der aktuelle Anteil (von derzeit etwa 33% in Deutschland) an weggeworfenen Lebensmitteln, deren Produktion ja auch Zeit und Energie für die Herstellung erforderten, reduziert wird.
Nachtrag 21.02.2024: Anscheinend hat der Anwohner sein Engagement eingestellt.

When we visited the two-part wooden cabinet, fresh rolls as well as salad, vegetables (zucchini, broccoli, peppers, tomatoes, spring onions) and fruit (cherries, pears, peaches) were on offer.
The baskets in which the groceries are located are labeled "Fair-Teiler Brühl". The general rules of conduct and a reference to "foodsharing.de" can be found on a board on the front door of the cupboard. The idea behind foodsharing.de is that food that is still edible can be saved from the dustbin, thus reducing the current proportion (of currently around 33% in Germany) of food that is thrown away, the production of which also requires time and energy to produce.
Addendum February 21st, 2024: Apparently the resident has stopped his involvement.
