The coat of arms of the Seiberling family is located above the main door of Stan Hywet Hall, off of North Portage Path in Akron, Ohio. Made of stone, the bearing has a shield with a cross and four eagles. It has a helmet on the top, with a banner on which is the motto, "Non nobis solum," or "Not for us alone."
F.A. Seiberling was the co-founder of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. His home was built for from 1912 to 1915 in the Tudor Revival style, and was named Stan Hywet, an Old English phrase for "stone quarry." The estate is now open to the public for tours. According to the Communications Manager for the estate, the motto, "Non nobis solum," "...refers to the fact that the family was very welcoming. They loved to have guests, and we internalize that by having the home open to the public."
