Op de Tolkerdijk 22 in Tolke bij Schagen kwam ik langs een klassieke stolp-boerderij. Een stolp boerderij heeft een vorm als een piramide en heeft een hele grote hooischuur onder het puntdak. Volgens het schild en de plaquette bij de boerderij is het een gemeentelijk monument. De boerderij is gebouwd in 1893 en verving een boerderij die door brand was verwoest. Er zijn al bronnen uit 1711 die een boerderij op deze plaats aanduiden. De boerderij is gebouwd (en wellicht met riet gedekt) door Jaco Pietersz Dekker (afgaande op zijn achternaam één van mijn West-Friese verwanten).

At 22 Tolkerdijk in Tolke near Schagen I passed a classic stolpfarm. A stolpfarm has the shape of a pyramid and has a very large hay barn under the gabled roof. According to the shield and plaque at the farm, it is a municipal monument. The farmhouse was built in 1893 and replaced a farmhouse that had been destroyed by fire. There are already sources from 1711 that indicate a farm on this place. The farm was built (and perhaps covered with thatch) by Jaco Pietersz Dekker (one of my West Frisian relatives, judging by his surname).
