Pro Gymnasium en Oude Mulo - Oldenzaal, NL - Former Schools on Waymarking.com

Vanaf 1855 was hier enkele jaren het pro gymnasium gevestigd waar onder andere C.T Stork en H Schaepman naar school gingen.

C.T. Stork zou later een belangrijke rol spelen in de regio toen hij in 1853 Weefgoederenfabriek C.T. Stork & Co. oprichtte. Ook stond hij in 1867 aan de basis van de ten zuiden van de spoorlijn gebouwde Machinefabriek Gebroeders Stork & Co.
Hengelo groeide daardoor uit tot een belangrijke industriestad met bontweverijen, metaalindustrie en elektrotechnische industrie.
Stork zou later overgaan in grote concerns zoals Hollandsche Signaal en Akzo-Nobel.

Er heeft ook nog een Mulo in het gebouw gezeten (Mulo staat voor 'meer uitgebreid lager onderwijs' en startte in 1857.)

C.T. Stork would later play an important role in the region when, in 1853, he founded the Weefgoedfabriek C.T. Stork & Co. founded. In 1867 he also founded the Machinefabriek Gebroeders Stork & Co, which was built south of the railway line.
As a result, Hengelo grew into an important industrial city with fur weaving mills, metal industry and electrical industry.
Stork would later turn into large concerns such as Hollandsche Signaal and Akzo-Nobel.

There has also been a Mulo in the building (Mulo stands for 'more extensive primary education' and started in 1857.)
