From whichever direction you come, those who go to Zeewolde always see the characteristic tower of Open Haven.
In the middle of the village, Open Haven accommodates many associations and organizations.
Four denominations hold their weekly Sunday services in Open Haven.

On November 9, 1984 the first pile was driven for the construction of Open Haven and on January 31, 1986 the official opening took place. The church center then accommodated the Protestant Congregation of Zeewolde (visit link) , (PGZ) the R.K. Parish 'Sterre der Zee' (visit link) , the Freethinking Faith Community Flevoland (VGF) (visit link) and the Christian Congregation of Zeewolde (visit link) .
