[ENG] The Star 266 is a Polish 6x6 truck designed for the transport of cargo and personnel. It was produced by FSC Star based it Starachowice for 27 years (1973-2000).
Star 266 was fought to be a basic military truck. It could transport up to 5000 kg and ford rivers and mud of 180 centimeters in depth.
The Star 266 was a basic truck used by Polish Army. It was also equipment for other armies: Angola, Myanmar, Hungary,
Lithuania, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Soviet Union, South Africa.
The particular truck near Park Kultury in Starachowice was bought and renovated by the company Star San Duo. It was put on display on 29.10.2014. There is an information board nearby with basic information about the truck. It is a part of the tourist path "Sciezka Stara", which shows 7 different trucks produced by STAR company and displayed in different parts of the town.

Star 266 zostal zaprojektowany jako ciezarówka wojskowa. Mogla przewozic do 5 ton i pokonac rzeki lub bloto o glebokosci do 180 centymetrów.
Star 266 byl podstawowa ciezarówka Wojska Polskiego. Byl takze uzywany przez oddzialy wojsk Angoli, Myanmaru, Wegier, Litwy, Iraku, Jemeny, Libii, Zwiazek Radziecki, RPA.
Ciezarówka stojaca przy Parku Kultury w Starachowicach zostala zakupiona i odremontowana przez firme Star San Duo. Zostala umieszona w tym miejscu 29.10.2014. W poblizu znajduje sie tablica informacyjna zawierajaca wszystkie podstawowe informacje o ciezarówce. Jest to czesc tzw. Sciezki Stara - trasy turystycznej, która pokazuje 7 róznych ciezarówek produkowanych przez STARa, wystawionych w róznych czesciach miasta.

The truck is displayed near roundabout Lecha Kaczynskiego. It is open to the general public 24/7 with no entry fee.
