This is a small post office in what was once a thriving little town. When diesel locomotives where introduced the (steam) trains no longer had to stop for water. Now the grain elevators are gone, the post office, school and a few houses remain.

We were travelling from Oshawa Ontario to Edmonton Alberta by car. We stopped at Meyronne, the town where my wife's mother was born. I have little interest in postal buildings but this one caught my eye and we took some pictures for the kids. The building is in poor repair and was built before 1920. The main road through town is gravel and it runs north-south.
