Met vier gevarieerde afdalingen – van blauw tot zwart – is de borstelbaan in Nieuwegein de grootste skipiste in Midden-Nederland. Voor wie op zoek is naar de echte Oostenrijkse wintersportsfeer in eigen land, is hier aan het goede adres.

Voor beginners zijn er twee oefenpistes, gevorderde wintersporters vinden voldoende uitdaging op de rood/zwarte piste. Er bevinden zich ook een aantal buckels en dit is een uitgelezen plek voor skiërs om aan hun techniek werken. Ook freestyle skiërs en snowboarders hoeven zich met diverse funboxen, railslides en jumps niet te vervelen. Voor de allerkleinsten is er een oefenweide, compleet met skicarrousel, speeltuin en springkussen. Bij het grote complex wordt veel aandacht besteed aan het onderhoud; de matten van de borstelbaan worden jaarlijks grondig gereinigd en na maximaal zes jaar vervangen.

With four varied descents – from blue to black – the brush track in Nieuwegein is the largest ski slope in the central Netherlands. For those looking for the real Austrian winter sports atmosphere in their own country, this is the right place.

There are two practice slopes for beginners, advanced winter sports enthusiasts will find plenty of challenge on the red/black slope. There are also a number of moguls and this is a great place for skiers to work on their technique. Also freestyle skiers and snowboarders will not be bored with various fun boxes, rail slides and jumps. For the little ones there is a practice area, complete with ski carousel, playground and bouncy castle. Much attention is paid to maintenance in the large complex; the brush track mats are thoroughly cleaned every year and replaced after a maximum of six years.
