According to their website:

"Who is eligible for a garden?
The gardens are for children from group five, six or seven of all primary schools in Naarden and Bussum.

How can I get a garden?
Every year in February/March registration forms are handed out at the primary schools in Naarden and Bussum. With this you can register on the registration day. The day registration starts is stated in the registration letter and will be communicated on Facebook, Instagram and on the website.

If you have a preferred day, it is useful to report in time on the registration day. This way you have the best chance of being classified on this day and possibly with your girlfriend or boyfriend.

What are the children doing in their garden?
The children's gardens are open during the week between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Due to the heat, the time can sometimes be brought forward in the summer. So the children garden for an hour every week. In the summer, when the weeds and the harvest are growing strongly, help from parents is very desirable. It is impossible for the garden leaders to keep track of all the gardens.

When the children come for the first time, there are three beds waiting to be sown and fully planted. They are very busy for the first few weeks. They also learn to rake and hoe, identify weeds and weed.

After a few weeks, the cress sown on the first garden day is harvested.
From the end of June there is so much to do that an hour is too short to get it all done: weeding, watering, harvesting and picking flowers, hoeing and raking.

At the end of the season, we clear up the spent flowers and worn-out plants.

Heemtuin
In the middle of the site is a herb and botanical garden. Here the children are introduced to various plants and herbs for which there is no room in their own garden.
