Departing World War II soldiers await the arrival of a Soo Line passenger train at the Oshkosh, Wisconsin depot. The rear entrances to Main Street shops line the background of the photo. At the far right of the image is the Soo Line depot. The depot was razed in about 1950. The tracks were pulled up in 1998. Many of the buildings remain and what was railroad property is now a parking lot.
Year photo was taken: Early 1940s
