A memorial for deceased police officers is at the station on Waterman Avenue in East Providence, Rhode Island. It consists of three granite markers with honed faces and rock pitched edges aligned in an arc. Each is engraved with the names, birth and death years of deceased members of the department. Those who died in the line of duty include the addition of a star as noted on a slant marker at the base of the center stone. This smaller stone is paired with an eternal light that has a blue globe, brass top and base and a Christian cross finial.

Major Alister C. McGregor

"Captain Alister C. McGregor was killed while conducting training exercises with the East Providence Police Special Reaction Team. During a hostage-situational briefing aboard a school bus, Captain McGregor was mortally wounded by a Team sniper." (More.)
