On the sign you can read the following:
Welcome to the Ronneby Heritage Quarter which has preserved its narrow medieval streets and alleyways. At the top of Kyrkberget ( Church Hill), the 12th century Heliga Kors (Holy Cross) Church and the Cultural Centre - which hosts one of the biggest art galleries in southern Sweden - overlook the entire city. Ronneby River and its waterfall by the old mill trace the northern border of the district. A number of 18th century houses and estates remain. Many of them are private recidences these days, but you are free to stroll among the old buildings or visit museums and galleries.
