The cigar and tobacco shop van Renssen in Delft was established in 1897. It is not known, when the cigar store indian, which is about 1.5m in height, was placed on the left in front of the store.
The indian was painted with a high gloss brown paint, but you can still see some of the wooden structure. In his left hand is a pipe to link to the cigar shop, the headdress is reaching to the floor. The figure was attached to the floor with a few screws on a metal plate.
