Wie kent Flipje niet... Wereldberoemd in Nederland en misschien ook wel daar buiten...

Tekenen is niet mijn sterkste kant maar voor Flipje wilde ik wel een poging wagen.
Flipje is getekend op een vroege ochtend tijdens coronatijd. Geen kip op straat te bekennen dus had ik rustig de tijd om Flipje te schetsen met de bedoeling die thuis af te maken.
De schets van Flipje verdween in een stapel papieren die nu pas weer opdook. Het enige dat ik heb gedaan is met een zwarte micron pen de schets over getrokken zodat hij zichtbaar was voor de foto.
Flipje is bedacht door reclamebureau Van Alfen in opdracht van de Tielse Jamfabriek.
Er zijn een aantal boekjes over Flipje verschenen die je kon sparen door bonnetjes te knippen van het etiket van de Betuwe-producten en een aantal daarvan op een briefkaart op te sturen, dan kreeg men het boekje gratis toegezonden.
Flipje is geboren in een betoverde framboos en beleefd samen met zijn vriendjes allerlei avonturen.
Uiteindelijk is Flipje degene die zorgt dat alles goed afloopt waarna hij trakteert op limonade of jam of appelsap van... "maatschappij De Betuwe te Tiel", de sponsor van al dit spannends.
De verhaaltjes zijn bedoeld voor kleine kinderen en hebben een beetje een "opvoedend" karakter rond de brave hoofdfiguur.

Drawing is not my forte, but for Flipje I wanted to give it a try.
Flipje was drawn on an early morning during corona time. Nobody in the street so I had the time to sketch Flipje with the intention of finishing it at home.
Flipje's sketch disappeared in a pile of papers that only now reappeared. All I did was trace the sketch with a black micron pen so that it was visible for the photo.
Flipje was conceived by advertising agency Van Alfen on behalf of the Tielse Jamfabriek.
A number of booklets about Flipje have been published that you could save by cutting receipts from the label of the Betuwe products and sending a number of them on a postcard, then the booklet was sent free of charge.
Flipje was born in an enchanted raspberry and experiences all kinds of adventures with his friends.
In the end, Flipje is the one who makes sure that everything ends well, after which he treats him to lemonade or jam or apple juice from "de Betuwe society in Tiel", the sponsor of all this exciting.
The stories are intended for small children and have a bit of an "educational" character around the good main character.
