The South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service has 35 fire stations with eighteen stations and a Marine vessel in the Adelaide metropolitan area and seventeen stations in major regional areas throughout South Australia.

The metropolitan stations are full time stations and the regional stations are part paid with the exception of Mt Gambier and Port Pirie which are combination stations.

Call Receipt and Dispatch is carried out from Adelaide Station as well as the Administration of the Service.
