Bij de uitgang van Aquazoo in Leerdam is een gastenboek. Het is ook te bereiken zonder het aquarium zelf te betreden, maar ik zou lekker naar binnen gaan om naar de vissen te kijken. Het aquarium is de meeste dagen open van 14:00 tot 16:00 uur.

Een bezoek aan AquaZoo zal u een weldadige rust geven. Het geeft u ook een overzicht van de vele soorten vissen en lagere diersoorten afkomstig uit verschillende werelddelen. Zo komt u oog in oog te staan met zoet- en zeewatervissen, zoals haaien, piranha’s, zeesterren, anemoonvissen, discusvissen, zeepaardjes, kleurrijke koralen en anemonen enz. Ook is er een paludarium met de mooiste unieke planten, kikkers en daggekko’s.

De dierentuin wordt geëxploiteerd door leden en vrijwilligers van de aquarium vereniging De Discus in Leerdam. De ruim 100 leden van deze vereniging, financieel gesteund door verschillende sponsoren, houden de ruim 40 vivaria op een vloeroppervlakte van 400 m2 in stand. U bent van harte uitgenodigd een bezoek te brengen hieraan. Honden zijn toegestaan echter wel aan de lijn.

A visit to AquaZoo will give you a soothing rest. It also gives you an overview of the many types of fish and lower animal species from different parts of the world. You will come face to face with freshwater and seawater fish, such as sharks, piranhas, starfish, clownfish, discus fish, seahorses, colorful corals and anemones, etc. There is also a paludarium with the most beautiful unique plants, frogs and day geckos.

The zoo is operated by members and volunteers of the aquarium association De Discus in Leerdam. The more than 100 members of this association, financially supported by various sponsors, maintain the more than 40 vivaria on a floor area of 400 m2. You are cordially invited to visit it. Dogs are allowed, however, on a lead.
