Karlskrona Admirality Bell Tower - Karlskrona, Sweden - Bell Towers on Waymarking.com

Karlskrona Admirality Bell Tower was built in 1699 and the clock was originally used as a time clock for the employees at the shipyard. Since 1909, however, it has been used as a church bell for the Admiral Church. It has not been possible to find information about the number of bells in the tower.
The shape of the building is inspired by the ancient lighthouse Pharos in Alexandria, Egypt.
There has previously been a railway line at the site and there is therefore a train tunnel under the bell tower. It is unfortunately not available.


Sign on the tower:
The Admiralty bell tower that supports the Admiralty Church's bells was erected on the site of the former Wachtmeister bastion just before 1700. The architect is unknown. The shape of the tower is probably inspired by the ancient lighthouse Pharos in Alexandria, Egypt.
