An ice cream parlor in a hot region is like an oasis in a desert. And in Puerto Plata one can find Heladeria Mariposa right on the center of the city, by its main square and central park.
Not the highest quality ice cream but the price is fair and variety of flavours is acceptable. There is a balcony on the first floor with great views to the square where customers can eat their ice creams.
