Karlskrona Admirality Bell Tower was built in 1699 and the clock was originally used as a time clock for the employees at the shipyard. Since 1909, however, it has been used as a church bell for the Admiral Church. The shape of the building is inspired by the ancient lighthouse Pharos in Alexandria, Egypt.

Karlskrona city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is therefore visited by many people every year. We have visited Karlskrona in the winter where there are not so many tourists. Then you can walk around and see the many beautiful buildings and fortifications. We have only spent a few days in the city as many galleries and museums are closed or have short opening hours during the winter period. The beautiful yellow bell tower is passed several times, as it is very centrally located in the city center. You can only see the bell tower from the outside.
There has previously been a railway line at the site and there is therefore a train tunnel under the bell tower. It is unfortunately not available.
