De kerk wordt tot op heden gebruikt door de parochie "Sint-Willibrordus".
Omstreeks 1710 waren er in ‘s-Heerenhoek maar ongeveer 40 katholieken op een totale bevolking van naar schatting 300. Vanaf 1760 kwam daar verandering in. Boeren namen bij voorkeur katholieke knechten en meiden in dienst en hierdoor liep het aandeel katholieken in de totale bevolking snel op.
Op het platteland van Zuid-Beveland werden de godsdienstoefeningen altijd gehouden op boerderijen in een kamer of op zolder, maar later ( door het groeiend aantal gelovigen) ook in de schuur. Ook in ‘s-Heerenhoek en omgeving waren verschillende kerkhoeven.

Bouwkundige beschrijving:

Driebeukige neogotische kruisbasiliek in vroeggotische vormen. Zuilen met knopkapitelen en gestucadoord-houten gewelven. Roosvensters in de eindgevels van het transept en de torengevel. Exterieur in sobere baksteenvormen met versieringen in gele steen. Hoge toren van twee vierkante geledingen en een kort achtkant met frontalen en spits. Neogotische altaren en koorramen uit de bouwtijd. Orgel met Hoofdwerk, Bovenwerk en vrij Pedaal, gemaakt in het laatste kwart van de vorige eeuw. Klokkenstoel met gelui bestaande uit een klok van Michael Burgerhuys, 1620, diam. 57 cm en een moderne klok.

Around 1710 there were only about 40 Catholics in 's-Heerenhoek out of a total population of an estimated 300. From 1760 this changed. Farmers preferred to employ Catholic servants and maids, and as a result the proportion of Catholics in the total population increased rapidly.
In the countryside of South Beveland, religious services were always held on farms in a room or in the attic, but later (because of the growing number of believers) also in the barn. There were also several church farms in 's-Heerenhoek and the surrounding area.

Architectural description:

Three-aisled neo-Gothic cross basilica in early Gothic forms. Columns with knob capitals and stucco-wood vaults. Rose windows in the end gables of the transept and the tower facade. Exterior in sober brick shapes with decorations in yellow stone. High tower of two square sections and a short octagon with fronts and spire. Neo-Gothic altars and choir windows from the construction period. Organ with Hoofdwerk, Bovenwerk and free Pedal, made in the last quarter of the last century. Bell chair with chime consisting of a bell by Michael Burgerhuys, 1620, diam. 57 cm and a modern clock.
