This officer played an important role during the short civil war of 1965, known as Constitutionalist War. He died in action in Santiago during that war.
The bust in bronze is placed on a plinth covered with bricks. The coronel is represented in his best uniform and the scale is about twice life-size. There is a national flag standing next to the statue.
