In the past, there was no recycling for such textiles, which ended up in landfills. Today, the industry can take advantage of (end of life textiles) damaged textiles. This method of recycling is projected to become very popular. In the area of the city of Turku, this recycling point is the largest and there is a shop where you can still find usable clothes. [FIN] Poistotekstiilit paikkaan voi keräysastioihin tuoda tekstiilejä jotka ovat rikkinäisiä, kuluneita. Elämänkaaren lopussa olevia tekstiilejä.
Takit, housut, hameet, paidat, lakanat, pyyhkeet ja pöytäliinat kelpaavat tänne. Niiden kuuluu olla puhtaita.
Aiemmin ei kierrätystä oltu järjestetty tämänlaisille tekstiileillä, jotka joutuivat kaatopaikalle. Nykyään teollisuus voi hyödyntää rikkinäisiä tekstiilejä. Tästä kierrätyksen tavasta ennustetaan tulevan suosittu. Turun kaupungin alueella tämä kierrätyspiste on suurin ja sen yhteydessä on myymälä josta voi löytää vielä käyttökelpoisia vaatteita. Paikkaa ylläpitää Lounais-Suomen Jätehuolto LSJH.
