Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II visited the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan on July 23rd 1959, her first tour of every province in Canada after being crowned Queen of England. This was her second visit to Regina and the Provincial Assembly: the first visit came in 1939, when then-Princess Elizabeth accompanied her father King George VI and her mother Queen Elizabeth on their Royal Tour of Canada, the first visit to Canada by a reigning monarch ever.
The plaque is located at the Main Entrance to the Saskatchewan Legislative Building, to the left as you enter the building.
The plaque reads as follows:
"HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH II
VISITED THIS BUILDING
On July 23rd 1959"
