An angel located at the grave of Martha and William Kerr in the churchyard of Saint Martin's Parish Church, on the corner of Audley Road and Crown Bank, in the village of Talke.

The adult sized angel is located at the grave of the Martha and William Kerr.

The figure of an angel is carved from stone and mounted on a large rectangular marble column set on three plinths. The angel has large wings, a flowing gown and bare feet. The hands are holding a collection of flowers against the chest. The head is bent looking down keeping watch over the Kerr grave below.

An inscription at the base of the grave indicates that it was sculpted by stonemasons;
W. and R. Mellor Limited of Burslem

WHO DIED MARCH 12TH 1913,
AGED 61 YEARS.
"SHE WEARS A TRUER CROWN THAN ANY
WREATH THAT MAN CAN WEAVE HER,
IN THE VAST CATHEDRAL LEAVE HER
GOD ACCEPT HER, CHRIST RECEIVE HER."

ALSO THE ABOVE NAMED
WILLIAM KERR,
WHO DIED MARCH 3RD 1923,
ALSO AMY
THE BELOVED CHILD OF
WILLIAM & NELLIE KERR,
WHO DIED IN INFANCY.

St Martin's Church in Talke is an Anglican Church in the Diocese of Lichfield.
The church is located adjacent to the Old Queens Head Inn a public house where Martha and William Kerr lived, William was the inn keeper.
