In the Castle of the Dukes of Brabant moat, a nice piece of art has been re-placed (since 2019). It is the Ultima Isla by Philip Aguirre.

The golden piece of art in the pond/moat of the Castle of the Dukes of Brabant is replica of the prize Flemmish artist can annualy win. According to Wikipedia:
"The Flemish Community Prize for General Cultural Merit, since 2016 Ultima for General Cultural Merit is one of the Culture Prizes awarded annually by the Flemish Community. The prize was established in 2003 by the Flemish Minister of Internal Affairs, Culture, Youth and the Civil Service, Paul Van Grembergen. The winner will receive 20,000 euros and a bronze statuette 'La ultima isla' by Philip Aguirre."

About the sculpture:
For the exhibition 'Tweespoor' (2012) Philip Aguirre created the monumental sculpture 'La Ultima Isla'.
The work can still be seen in Turnhout.
