Exhibition of various military equipment on a meadow in Annaburg.

Here you can find from transport trailers, additional fuel tanks of the MIG 21 to different tanks some disused and demilitarized military technology.

The BMP-1 is a Soviet-designed floating infantry fighting vehicle and one of the most widely used armored vehicles in the world. The abbreviation BMP in Russian stands for Boyevaya Mashina Pechoty, which means "combat vehicle of the infantry".
Delivery to the regular troops under the name BMP-1 began in 1969.
The vehicle is equipped with a 73-millimeter smoothbore gun (2A28) in the turret. The NVA's combat kit included 24 armor-piercing shaped-charge grenades (with post-acceleration and wing stabilization) and 16 fragmentation rounds (without post-acceleration).
The vehicle can negotiate trenches up to 2.50 meters wide and terrain steps up to 70 centimeters high. Ground clearance is 370 millimeters.
The BMP-1 is buoyant; its propulsion in water is provided by the tracks.
The crew consists of three men:
Commander (sits forward left behind the driver, is also the squad leader of the mot. rifle squad or the platoon leader of the respective mot. rifle platoon).
Driver (sits in front left of the engine)
gunner (RLS) (sits in the turret)

The crew compartment seats eight soldiers, four on each side facing the side of the vehicle, i.e. perpendicular to the direction of travel. Between the benches is the 350-liter main tank and the battery box for the two on-board batteries.
