Ngong Ping 360 cable cars transport riders between Tung Chung and Ngong Ping on Lantau Island. This northern terminal is at the Tung Chung MTR Station at Tat Tung Road in Hong Kong. The bi-cable gondola trip is 5.7 km long and lasts about 25 minutes. Travel during daylight hours offers spectacular vistas. The return after dark is a totally different and still thrilling experience because the cabins have no interior lighting for best viewing of the nighttime scenery and cityscape.

Standard Cabins leave the station continuously. A maximum of 17 guests can be accommodated in each, including 10 seated and 7 standing.

Crystal Cabins, with a 10-passenger capacity, have full-width glass bottoms which are nearly 5cm thick and made from three layers of tempered glass. Crystal Cabins depart every 3-7 minutes.

Guest Services Operators assist wheelchair-bound guests for boarding. No smoking, no pets or livestock. (Guide and therapy dogs allowed.)

Tickets can be purchased online (recommended), at the terminals, or all 7-Eleven stores (except those at Tung Chung and Ngong Ping). Rates are based on the type of cabin with lower fares for children 3-11 and senior residents of Honk Kong aged 65-plus. Hours: 10:00 to 18:00, may vary during holiday seasons.

Additional options include an annual pass, a "360 Tai O Pass" day trip package, several "Entertainment" packages with dining and/or overnight stay, and guided tours.

Ngong Ping Cable Car connects downtown Tung Chung and Ngong Ping on Lantau Island. Adopting a safe and reliable bi-cable ropeway, the cable car is first-of-its-kind in Hong Kong. The journey begins from Tung Chung, crossing Tung Chung Bay to reach the angle station on Airport Island and turning 60 degrees towards North Lantau. You will be greeted with the vistas of the distant and vast South China Sea and the rolling greens of North Lantau Country Park. At the comfort of the cabin, enjoy the breathtaking panorama of the Hong Kong International Airport, verdant, mountainous terrain of Lantau Island, the Big Buddha and the 360-degree view of Ngong Ping Plateau.

Alight from the cable car cabin and you will arrive at Ngong Ping Village – the best starting point for your Hong Kong visit to “must-see” attractions such as the Big Buddha, Po Lin Monastery, Tai O fishing village, etc.
