This church is located right off Main St, in the center of the town. This is the only church in Townsend with only about 500 residents. All are welcome and with a large parking lot in the back, this is a great church to go to even if you are not from around here. This church was built in the early 1900's after Townsend old frame church became outdated. In October, 1900 the present day church grounds were purchased, subsequent building took place. The church finally finished in 1903 when Tiffany and Company gave the church over $90,000 worth of windows to display. It was then when it was considered the most beautiful church in the area, and quite possibly Delaware.
